Acceptable Use Policy
Lakebed is in alpha. This policy may change; continued use means you accept the current version.
Lakebed lets anyone build and host a full-stack app — a capsule — served on a
*.lakebed.app subdomain. That reach comes with limits. This policy defines what you may not do
with Lakebed, whether you deploy anonymously or from an account.
You may not use Lakebed to
- Phish or impersonate. No fake sign-in pages, credential-harvesting forms, or pages that imitate Lakebed, Google, or any other brand, product, or person to deceive visitors.
- Distribute malware. No hosting or delivering viruses, trojans, ransomware, exploit kits, or any code intended to harm or gain unauthorized access to a device or system.
- Send spam or abuse others. No bulk unsolicited messaging, no using a capsule as a relay or proxy to attack, scan, or overload third-party systems, and no evading rate limits or account gates.
- Host illegal content. No content that is unlawful where you or your users are, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), which we report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as required by law.
- Infringe others' rights. No content that violates copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. See our reporting and DMCA page.
- Deceive or defraud. No scams, fraudulent payment collection, or deceptive data collection from visitors.
- Abuse the platform. No attempts to break out of the capsule runtime, exhaust shared resources, or interfere with other capsules or with Lakebed itself.
Enforcement
We may remove, disable, or restrict any capsule, and suspend or terminate any account, at any time — with or without notice — if we believe it violates this policy or poses a security, legal, or abuse risk. Suspended accounts may not sign back in or re-register. We may preserve and disclose information where required by law or to address abuse.
Reporting
See something abusive on *.lakebed.app? Report it — no account needed. Add
/__lakebed/report to any capsule URL, or email
abuse@lakebed.dev. Details on our
abuse reporting page.
This policy covers hosting capsules on Lakebed. Lakebed Auth (the Google sign-in broker at auth.lakebed.dev) has its own Terms and Privacy Policy.
